ABC TV
The ABC required a new portal to link to Indigenous content from it's various radio, television and news services.

Focus groups provided feedback that Indigenous Australians were somewhat weary of the clichéd representation of their culture. A secondary challenge was identified: to unify traditional and contemporary, country and urban and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.

Richapplefool examined the way the community represented themselves. These cultural norms influenced design decisions yet were refashioned to become more inclusive.

The result was designs that both excited and resonated with the audience.

The seminal television program Message Stick and radio program Speaking Out were also redesigned.

News Digital Media
CONFIDENTIAL, a joint venture television show between News Limited and FOXTEL, delivers news, reviews and interviews from the world of entertainment.

The high gloss design integrated celebrities with shapes derived from the edgy commentary of the show.

The objective of the standalone site was to drive new audiences to the CONFIDENTIAL sections in the various mastheads.

imeepo helps you plan your social life with friends and find more people you'd like to meet.

It's point-of-difference is the union of the two key functions:
1. Manage social events (gigs, holidays, parties, sports, etc.)
2. Meet new people through common interests

L.J. Hooker
L.J. Hooker desired a community initiative website for children using their company mascot.

There was a problem with the plan; their mascot didn't appeal to the target audience.

With our recommendation, the bear underwent a makeover, instilling a more favourable look and personality.

The website used a treehouse metaphor with various rooms containing games and educational content.

Very positive results were subsequently achieved in market testing.

User experience and interface design
Starting with the high-level brand experience and site metaphor, stakeholders are taken through the user journey, users (and the things that matter to them) are researched and forests are culled by prototyping on paper. Finally, pixels are placated with interface design.
